Job Description
Buffalo Legacy Project is seeking an experienced, part time property manager to support bookings of an outdoor athletic facility located in South Buffalo.
Qualifications
- The qualified candidate should have 3+ years of experience in property management.
- Experience working with nonprofits and boards of directors a plus.
- Must be tech proficient/savvy and willing to travel and manage a facility in the South Buffalo area.
- Proficient with Quickbooks, social media platforms (ie. Facebook, Instagram), website editing
- The qualified candidate will also possess excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Ability to multitask and work independently, mostly remotely and at times in-person on the project site.
- Possess a confident, positive attitude and ability to interact with a wide range of individuals.
- A self-starter and problem-solver. Be able to step into any planned or unplanned situation, assume responsibility and develop an action plan.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with contractors/vendors/partner organizations and a successful prior track record is expected.
- Willingness to be on call 24/7/365 for emergency situations and able to travel to the project site on short notice.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain field calendar and process field rental booking requests.
- Procure and maintain valid COIs from all vendors and renters.
- Regularly review insurance certificates to ensure all certifications are renewed as required.
- Manage and collect field rental dues, ensuring low receivables on a monthly basis.
- Manage and process bills in a timely manner, ensuring low payables on a monthly basis.
- Attend monthly board meetings and compose and present management updates.
- Work with and oversee contractors to manage/maintain field including all required preventative maintenance, trash removal, seasonal landscaping, and facility cleaning and repairs.
- Manage social media accounts, create content, and market field rental facilities
- Maintain and edit organizational website, phone line, email account.
- Maintain positive relationships and provide excellent customer service to renters, vendors & visitors.
- Liaise with collaborative partners at City of Buffalo, Parks Department, and Bishop Timon High School to address all field complaints, questions, tasks, and long-term objectives.
- Conduct all business in accordance with Buffalo Legacy and City of Buffalo policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties, assignments and special projects and reports as assigned.
- Comply with COVID-19 protocols, per City of Buffalo and NYS guidance.
Compensation
Buffalo Legacy offers $35/hr for this part time position. Approximately 250 hours of work anticipated annually, with the majority occurring during the outdoor lacrosse, football, and soccer seasons (March to November).
